School Starting, Football Season, and Only Memories to Share!

It’s that time of year again when school  districts are starting back to school. Since we no longer have kids in high school or grade school, we no longer have to buy the school supply list that irritates me each year. I never understood why I had to by a million boxes (OK maybe a bit of an exaggeration)  of pencils, Kleenex, paper towels, etc. When I know my kids would never go through all of them.

Making Up for Lost Time

A few weeks ago, my husband found out that a close friend who is much more like a brother to him, lost his dad to cancer. My husband hasn’t talked to this friend in probably 20 years or so. We will call him Hunter for this blog, guy hunts anything that he can. A few months after Big Bubby’s accident, I reconnected with a friend from college, we will call her my College Sister as well.

Turning 18 and All that Comes with Freedom

So yesterday was a bittersweet day for me. Baby Sis turned 18 today. We have no more “kids” in our house. Not that she has been a “kid” in a long time but for purposes of the State of Texas, she is now an adult. Nor has she lived with us for the last seven months or so since she went to college a semester early.
