Boy that is a great prompt. I can go so many different ways with this. The best way I guess to put this into prospective is to put out there what I now have on my plate: Continue reading “Daily Prompt: Overwhelming”

Daily Prompt: SOMEDAY
Lots of ideas on what to write about this prompt….
I could make a list of the things I want to accomplish – Someday like:
- Visit England
- Visit Australia
- Write a Book (in the process of talking about doing this now)
- Retirement (not possible with day and age but a girl can dream)
- Vacation in Red River New Mexico where my husband and I honeymooned
- Been with my son in Heaven and wrap my arms around him tightly
Daily Prompt: Cling
Cling? Cling to what? Life, love, family, friends?
Over the past 14 months I have clung to a lot of things including all of the above. When I think of the word Cling, used to, I would shy away from it. I am not a touchy feely kind of person, ask anyone who knows me. I also wasn’t one that needed anyone to help me with anything. I did’t like asking for help at all (no comments from any of the peanut gallery out there who know me personally). Continue reading “Daily Prompt: Cling”
Daily Prompt – Specific
Todays one word prompt: Specific!
So what does the word specific mean? Exact, precise, detailed, certain.
To me, that word means when I am trying to accomplish something and have to have help from others, I have to be specific in my requests. I have learned that throughout my life, if you are not specific about your needs, you could potentially not get what you need. Continue reading “Daily Prompt – Specific”
Float
I am going to be trying out some of the Daily Prompt blog prompts this year as well. Just to get my writing better and on a more consistent habit.
I know my family and friends will all fall out of their chairs when they read that I am even thinking of writing a book. I know there are tons of books already out there from grieving parents about every way a child could pass, but maybe my story is a little different and has a different perspective than all the others and if it helps one person besides me and I can get someone to publish it, then I have achieved my goal. Continue reading “Float”
Day 12: Critique a Piece of Work
This assignment is to either critique a piece of art work or talk about something we are passionate about. I am doing both because the piece of art defines something I am passionate about.
When my husband and I met he was in the Air Force. We were stationed in Oklahoma at Tinker Air Force Base. There were only four bases that we could be stationed, Oklahoma, Alaska, Japan and a NATO air base in Germany. The training squadron was at the Oklahoma base and my husband was one of the trainers. Day 11: If We Were Having Coffee Right Now
Wow this will be a tough one for me. So please be patient with me while I fumble through this writing exercise. Continue reading “Day 11: If We Were Having Coffee Right Now”
Day 10: Let the Scene Write Itself
This is going to be the toughest one yet I think. I am someone who can’t set down for five minutes to let my mind rest much less set for 20 minutes watching other people, the weather, animals, or whatever to give me something to write about. Well off I go to figure out what scene I am writing about….
Day 9: Writing and Not Writing
What do I do when I am not writing?
