WOW, thank you INTENTERGY for nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger Award award! I sure would not have guessed a year ago, I would be writing regularly on a blog to the world. I am 40-something and everyone who has known me for any portion of my life knows that opening my heart and soul to the world would not have been done if not for our loss. In just a few short months I have gone from being someone no one knows much about to clearly opening my soul to the world.

The goal of this award is to share about yourself and then nominate other bloggers you feel deserve the same recognition. So here goes:

1)What you love about blogging ?

I use my blogging as an outlet for my grief and also for those who follow me to help them understand where I am at. I hope that if there are other mothers out there who lost a child after I started this blog, that they may find some comfort or understanding in their feelings by reading my blog as I have taken these steps before them.

(2)What is your favorite song?

My favorite song is “One Hell of an Amen” by Brantley Gilbert. This song was played on the video at our sons funeral and it fit him perfect. I am going to also say that “You Should Be Here” by Cole Swindell runs a close second as it also symbolizes my son and where he should be.

(3)What is your dream job ?

I have my dream job doing what I love most people can’t say that but I can truly say I love what I am doing right now. I wish I was closer to my two surviving kids but that is the only down side to what I am doing right now.

(4)If you could exchange your life with anyone for one day who would that be and why ?

I would exchange my life with Big Bubby so that he would have a chance to say good-bye to his friends and loved ones.

(5)Your secret romantic fantasy ?

Don’t have one really. Be rich and not have to work. 

(6)What are your habits that you hate most or want to change them ?

Eating when I get stressed or depressed. I hate that I have no off button when it comes to that.

(7)Your most embarrassing thing that happened to you ?

Too many to write here….:)

Black

(9)Your motivation in life ?

Big Bubby and how he never let anything be serious. He lived daily saying we didn’t have tomorrow so why were we worried about it. Live for today was his motto always. I want to live that way today in honor of him.

(10)Craziest thing you would like to do in life that you were not able to do ?

Go back in time to change all of the Bereaved Parents situations. There is no greater loss than a child and no one should have to endure it.
